Fuzz - Pollinate
From California comes this heavy hitting trio. Clearly inspired of T.Rex and Black Sabbath this is one of many bands in an american garage rock cluster. While we are waiting for that grunge revival to come, this I say is probably a better deal. Hit it!
Circa Tapes - Diamonds
More from the US but pretty much completely different, Circa Tapes is the solo project of a Adam Killing from Chicago. Influences from early 80s synth/industrial bands like John Foxx, Cabaret Voltaire and Fad Gadget blended with newer techno structures and gaze-style indierock vibes, this IS the shit right here.
House Of Tapes - Nice Dreams
From Nagoya, Japan, this tune is so refreshing it makes you want to wrap yourself in plastic and go out into the rain and jump in puddles and splash paint on cars and dogs and lampposts. Exactly the kind of vibe so desperately needed in the world 2015. Go!

Unloved - Guilty of Love
This LA duo has so far only delivered an EP with this track as the title track. A masterpiece in retro 60s movie-soul, evoking wonderful memories of strip-club latenight binges when we could still smoke indoors, lonely broken hearts at midnight in a sleazy town near you.
Dolores Haze - Crazy About Me
Stockholm seems to have a thriving new indiepunk scene, mostly young girls perhaps fed up with the whole Idol/Instagram/House/Berlin template of lifestyle expected of them. Although this is hardly a "punk scene" per se given the slick productions and certain norm core hipster action, it's still a very welcome alternative to the masses of slow beat electro pop solo artist dreariness flowing out of the Swedish capital. This track is short but wonderfully energetic and catchy, enjoy!

Manwomanchild - Back to Ithaca
From Philadelphia USA comes these seventies vibes, or are they eighties indie retro seventies vibes we are not sure. Wonderfully melodious shit and a bass that makes you immediately want to get that brand new vinyl record player you've been thinking about getting for 5 years now.

Thus Owls - Black Matter
What better way to end this f.u. to modern pop dross than the title track to Thus Owls new EP. 'Kompromisslös' is the word for this in Erika's native tongue Swedish, but now living in Montréal suppose she'd say 'Intransigeant' (uncompromising). With a slightly simpler setting; guitar, synths and computer, drums and occasional strings, well simpler being Thus Owls, the EP has a wonderfully strong drive and modern vibe. Certainly more dark and alternative than anything they have done before. Perhaps they are sick of Adele too, who knows.
